Marbury Country Park is a picturesque woodland stroll set just north of the Cheshire town of Northwich. Due to the Intricate trails that weave in and out along the shore of Budworth Mere and the well fenced tree lined paths that stretch all the way past Anderton Marina,

it is suitable for the most energetic of doggos while the Woodlands provide shade and what can be made a much shorter circuit for the smaller more delicate versions of Man’s best friend. If your dog likes to take a dip especially on a hot day then Budworth Mere is the perfect place, it is located at the start or the end of the walk depending on which way you want to complete the loop.

For the less accomplished swimmers there are ample streams and rivers along the way to practice the doggy paddle in shallow waters or to wet the lips! After navigating through the trees and undulating trails you meet the Trent and Mersey canal which once crossed will take to the grassy Uplands which is the ideal place for organised chaos as you will encounter more friendly dog walkers and many more furry friends!
When all the meet and greets are finished, you continue the walk past the Anderton Marina along the more secluded stretch of the Northwich Community Woodlands.

There is adaquate fencing all around the Nature Reserve which allows for complete 4 legged freedom. Providing you follow the right signs you will end up crossing back over the Trent and Mersey canal but instead of heading back the way you came you can take Marbury lane, a very quiet access road back into Marbury Country Park and tire the little beasts out with one last roam of the open fields that lead you back to the Arboretum!
